Ohio Partners in Character Education is a non-profit organization affiliated with the Better Business Bureau Education Foundation dedicated to promoting and facilitating the development and implementation of character education programs in Ohio schools and communities.

Originally formed as the result of a Character Education Pilot Projects grant to the Ohio Department of Education (ODE), OPCE continues to work in partnership with ODE to provide character education resources and technical assistance to Ohio schools and communities through professional development workshops, this website, advocacy, a statewide character network, collaboration with other projects and agencies, and programs such as the Statewide Laws of Life Essay Contest and the Ohio Schools of Character Awards.

Three Focus Areas

Supportive School and Community Policies and Practices: to create, support, and evaluate character education policies and practices, in schools and communities, that contribute to the success of all students. Planned Professional Development: to provide technical assistance to local agencies in the development and implementation of curriculum materials, teacher training, and other activities related to character education.
Integrated Learning Strategies: to encourage schools to integrate  character education that is aligned with state standards into their programming and curricula.
